State 'Ages' Bin Laden In New Photos Offering $25M Reward
Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has been digitally aged by the State Department in new photos posted online at its Rewards for Justice website:
That's the place where State publicizes the $25 million reward for information that leads to his arrest or conviction.
As the Associated Press says, the digital retouching takes a 1998 file photo of bin Laden and both ages him and offers alternative looks -- with beard and without.
Update at 3 p.m. ET, Jan. 16: A Spanish lawmaker is shocked to find that State used a photo of him to help create the "new" bin Laden images. He's worried he won't be able to travel to the U.S. anymore.
