Y2K glam is having a resurgence. We've mined the ‘90s for all the beauty inspo and ‘70s hair is trending big time. But Dua Lipa has taken us back another decade with a beauty look that nods to the swinging '60s.

In her latest Instagram post, Dua shared an image of herself with XXL lashes, labelling the pic with the caption: “bottom lashes like spider legs 🕷.”

Now, we know we've seen spider leg lashes before somewhere… In throwback pics of '60s icons like Twiggy, Jean Shrimpton and Jane Birkin. Dolly-like lashes, elongated to spider-leg proportions and clumped together for added drama were a signature beauty look of the decade, so we love to see Dua dusting the look off 60 years later.

We also love that Dua's given ‘60s spider lashes her own spin, ditching the signature white waterline of the era for a seriously smoked out black liner and eyeshadow. It gives the look a '60s-meets-'90s-meets-2023 grungey update that Wednesday Addams herself would be proud of and brings it bang up to date. Add a toffee brown-toned '90s lip, made glossy for a Y2K moment and a sweep of the TikTok-favourite sunburnt blush, and it really is dishing out future nostalgia.

But Dua's not the only one who's been crushing on the ‘60s. At this year’s SAG Awards, Jenna Ortega's makeup artist, Vincent Oquendo created a spiky, spidery, stiletto lash look, complete with frosted white eyeshadow.

And Zendaya also rocked dolly-like spider lashes with cool-toned eyeshadow.

And, we can't forget one of the decade's most vocal celebrity stans. Ariana Grande frequently channels '60s beauty for her makeup looks and even based her own cosmetics around the era. Her latest fragrance launch, Mod, was inspired by the 1960s Mod subculture, and it was the inspiration behind her retro white eyeliner for rem Beauty, So Mod. “A lot of my inspiration is from sixties mod – you know, Twiggy, Barbarella, stuff like that," she told us in a previous interview.

So, if you're in the mood to mix up your makeup, we'd recommend making like Dua Lipa, Jenna Ortega, Zendaya and Ariana Grande and updating your lashes with a little '60s spin.
