Can you have Coachella without a little headline drama? A year after the Weeknd swooped in, the 2023 edition saw the just-reunited Blink-182 take over Frank Ocean’s Sunday-closing set on the second weekend, after his performance on the first weekend ended abruptly. No such issues, however, with co-anchors Bad Bunny and Blackpink. Stagecoach, the country festival that follows Coachella each year at the same Indio, Calif., site, keeps growing. In fact, tickets for 2024 blew out in October, the first time the festival has sold out. Two longtime AEG executives associated with that show, Jenn Yacoubian and Stacy Vee, were both promoted to executive vice presidents at Goldenvoice. Tollett’s team also added a new event to its busy festival schedule, with the metal-flavored Power Trip in October in Indio, which featured AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Tool.
